STATE CHAMPIONS!!

Last night I went to the last PHS basketball game, and as usual WE WON!! We totally killed Springville 61 to 36! And Brandon Davies, Kyle Collinsworth, and Scott Franse were dunking it and were totally taking over the court! It was pretty amazing! My throat is kind of sore from screaming too ha ha.
Today I am going over to Lauren Frary's house to work on our english project! We have to take a scene from Romeo and Juliet and turn it into a modern movie. It's going to be great fun! We are doing the scene where Tybalt kills Mercutio and Romeo kills Tybalt. So we get to chase each other atound and fake kill each other.
Also, tonight I'm going to Brick Oven with the Mia Maids presidency and then I'm going to the Stake Dance!! I'm so excited!!
Anyway, I have to go get ready to go to Lauren's house. Love you all!

Embarrassing Moments!!

Hey guys! How's it going? Tonight is the last home game for PHS! So you all had better come!! I'm planning on us winning cuz we're undefeated. :D
Anyway, on to my embarrassing moments!
Well, to start off with. . . there's this guy in my Spanish class and my math class. He's a foreign exchange student from Zimbabwe. He's not black, he's more like. . . Arabian looking I guess. . ? Anyway, he has this wicked accent that makes it hard to understand what he's saying sometimes. (It doesn't help that he talks really fast too.) In Spanish one day, he saw me and said, "Hey Rachel Covert! What's up?" Well, since he talks really fast, I thought he had said Rachel . So of course I was like, "What did you say?" He looked really confused and all that, then I finally realized what he had really said, and he figured out what I thought he said. So now whenever he sees me he says, "Hey Rachel ! How are you today?" Lol. At first it was really annoying but now I think it's kind of funny. This isn't the embarrassing part. I haven't even got there yet. So I had told my friends about this, and of course Loryn goes, "I have to meet this kid! He sounds sooo funny!" So yesterday at lunch, we saw him in the hall. Rachel Johnson goes, "Loryn look! There he is!" And you can imagine Loryn, "Where?! Where?! I don't see him!!" He was like right in front of her too. It was pretty hilarious. . . until Loryn saw him and says, "Oh my gosh!! That's him? Rachel! He is cute!" I was laughing, and my face was turning bright red cuz I was embarrassed and I was laughing really hard. Luckily he didn't know we were talking about him. But with all the racket, he looked over and saw me and of course, "Hi Rachel !!" aargh. My life is so annoying sometimes. Oh, and I'm not done! Today at lunch was even more fun. Loryn saw him by the vending machines and she goes around to the other side to the other machines. She started laughing hysterically when he greeted me in his special way, then she said, "Who said that?" She goes over to him and says, "Oh! You're the one who calls her Rachel !" He just said, "Yep!" Loryn started laughing again, and I just laughed a little bit and said, "Ok, let's go." So we started walking away, and he and his friends started following us. Loryn kept going, "Rachel! He's really cute! You should like him! Maybe I'll have him instead!" I was just like, "Ok. . . Go right ahead. I don't really care." I just barely realized that I haven't even told you his name! Loryn calls him HoshKimBaba! (don't ask) but his real name is Humza Mohammed. So if you put that together with Loryn's nick name, it would be HoshKimBaba Humza Mohammed. Haha! Love it! Lol.
Now I'm not gonna lie. He is kinda cute, and his accent is kinda cool and everything, but I don't like him like that. I just think he's a good friend. So Loryn, you can have him. :D
Anyway, that was my embarrassing moment for the week. . . hopefully. I'm hoping that nothing happens at the game! (Let's keep our fingers crossed for that!)
Well, I gotta go. Love you all!
Love- Rachel
PS. Notice my new background and stuff! Doesn't it rock? And also, sorry about there not being a poll yet. My computer is being dumb and it's not letting me do it. So maybe I'll try to do it on someone else's computer. Anyway, I'll get that up as soon as I can. Also, be looking for new pictures on my blog and facebook. Once I get my dad's memory card thingy, there will be new pictures up! :D

Hey guys!

Hola! How are you guys?
Some new things have been happening. First of all, I don't have a C- in math anymore! I have a B+! Yay!
Also, my hair has actually been cooperating. Isn't it amazing?! Ha ha. It makes it so much easier to get ready in the morning.
Today I came home early from school because I wasn't feeling well. I'm feeling a little better now, but still not all the way there. So, sorry I'm not at basketball tonight guys! I wouldn't be much help anyway.
As of last Sunday, I'm the First Counselor in the Mia Maids' Presidency. I'm really enjoying it so far. I love helping plan ways for all of us Young Women to become better friends. It's pretty fabulous!
I've found someone that I kinda like. . . if you get my drift. Ha ha. and don't ask who it is cuz I'm not going to say. And no Loryn, it's not "HoshKimBaba"! Lol.
I found a song that I really like! It's called Famous in a Small Town by Miranda Lambert. It's about how in a small town anyone can be famous whether you are in jail, just broke up with your boyfriend, or if you bought the first copy of a book. Lol. It's a really good song. It's on my playlist if you want to listen to it.
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing wonderfully, and remember, keep a smile on you face cuz it could make someone's day! Love you all!
Love- Rachel
PS. If anyone is looking for birthday ideas for my mom, just get her a poster of the Geico gecko with his hands held up like he's surrendering. She loves it! :D
