Quote

"The Final Judgment is not just an evaluation of a sum total of good and evil acts--what we have done. It is an acknowledgement of the final effect of our acts and thoughts-- what we have become." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks

Longest Day of My Life

Hey guys! How's everyone doing? It's been forever! I'm sorry! I certainly have time to blog, but sometimes it just slips my mind. :D
Let's see. . . Since I last blogged, a couple thing have happened. I got 100% on a math test, which is a miracle, I assure you. Of course, Thanksgiving came our way, and we chased it to Idaho Falls. That was a blast! I got to see my grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles! On Thanksgiving Day, my aunt Eileen and I ran a 5k. My first one!! It was lovely! And it didn't hurt that there was a pretty cute guy that I saw helping with the fences and stuff. :D
I am in the Advanced Women's Ensemble (choir) and yesterday, all the advanced choirs had our big, annual Holiday Dinner. We left school at 12:15 and went over to the Provo Library where we rehearsed our show up in the Ballroom. It was goregously decorated! There were lights and trees and all manner of Christmas decorations everywhere! We did a matinee at 3:30 and then a dinner show at 7. It went beautifully. But that was probably one of the longest days of my life. Not that it wasn't fun, it's just that we were there from 12:30-9:30. Ha ha. Oh well, it was a great experience. One of the soloist started to cry because he was singing Christmas Shoes, and his mom was sitting in the audience. How sweet is that?! After the whole thing was over, we gathered in the lobby out side the Ballroom and sang Christmas songs, and talked and laughed and hugged and laughed some more. It was like a huge family reunion! I love the feeling you get with a huge group of teenagers like that, when we've all worked so hard together and now we're just one huge family. :) That's what Christmas is all about.
Well, I hope you all are having a wonderful December so far! I love you all!
Love-
Rachel
