You'll notice, again, that I have changed the look of my blog, and the title. The title is now, 'Don't Forget', which is the title of a song by Demi Lovato. Anyway, I hope you like it.
This weekend was conference!! Don't you just love General Conference? I do!! I love listening to the talks and feeling the Spirit. I also love being able to have some family time. What I also enjoy about it is being able to sleep in a bit and then getting to wear my pajamas all day!! I think my favorite talk was. . . I don't remember his name, but he was from Portugal or something and he was part of the Quorum of the 70. It went him, then another guy, then Elder Perry. Anyway, I loved his talk about the whole GPS System thing. It was very clever and inspiring.
I got a call this afternoon, and guess what I get to do! I get to speak on Sunday!! Lol. Tragic, but kind of cool at the same time. I get to speak on the Atonement. This is kind of a coinkinkidink because that's what I'm reading about in the the scriptures right now. Maybe not so much coinkinkidink, but more inspired probably. Anyway, if anyone has a favorite scripture or quote about the Atonement, it would be muy muy appreciated. :D
Hmmm. . . what else. . . Oh ya!
Mom is going out of town on Tuesday for Alicen's wedding in Texas. So it will just be me, Dad, and occasionally Spencer here. I am going to be in charge of meals and chores and, according to Dad, much much more. *sigh* I guess it will be ok. We'll miss mom but she deserves to get away for a while. Oh! And Loryn, if you read this before tomorrow (Monday) remind me to tell Dad to get a garage door opener! Or else I'm going to be locked out everyday after school. Not the teenage dream, I tell you.
Last night, Mom and I went to Roberts to get beads to make bracelets for her visiting teaching people. Roberts is right next to Deseret Book, and it was Women's Night there. Man I'm glad we weren't going there! The line was huge and it was freezing outside!! Anyway, we got into Roberts and it was a bit busy but not too bad. We got a bunch of beads and had much fun.
So today during conference, we made six bracelets. It was fun, but a lot of work.
Ha ha. After I tell you this next part, you're going to think I'm like a 3 year old or something, but anyway. Mom asked me what I wanted to do during conference. I thought for a minute and said that I wanted a coloring book and crayons. Mom gave me that 'are-you-serious?' look and laughed. I was like, ya I'm serious! I want Hello Kitty and Mickey Mouse! So Mom was like, Ok! So on Saturday morning, I came out and sat down to watch and after the opening prayer, Mom brought out a grocery bag that had two coloring books and crayons. The two coloring books were Hello Kitty, and Sesame Street (because she couldn't find Mickey Mouse). And the crayons, you'll never believe this, it was a box of 96 crayons! pencil sharpener included! and a space to put your name! Ha ha. See? Now you think I'm a 3 year old. But I'm not. I just like to color things. It's one of my favorite things to do with kids when I babysit them.
Anyway, now that we've had a look at the immature side of Rachel Covert, I have to go. Love you all!
Love-
Rachel
PS. Don't judge me!!
Ha ha. You make me laugh :) Here's your reminder. Get a garage opener Biship!! ;)
